POLICIES

Check-in/Supervision/Pick-UP

All students must enter through the bookstore entrance on the side of the church, and students must check in before each lesson.

No siblings of students may be left unattended, even if there are children in back to back lessons.

Students must be picked up upon completion of the lesson. Repeated late pick-up will result in the cancellation of lessons.

Attendance

Spring 2024 lessons begin January 8 and will be completed on or before May 17.

Lessons are non-refundable, with the exception of emergency situations. (Evaluated on a case-by-case basis) Discovering that a students school or sports schedule conflicts with lesson times is not a case for refund. To ensure the integrity of a student's experience, students must commit to a full semester.

Students will be given 15 lessons in an 18 week time span. Lessons will not be held on Martin Luther King Day or during Hoover City Schools spring break (March 25-29). If a student is unable to be present for 15 lessons within the 18 weeks, the instructor will spend the lost lesson time working on behalf of the student (sending emails about student progress, developing practice plans, selecting literature for student, etc.)

Scheduling

Instructors are responsible for student scheduling. An opportunity to request specific days/times is offered in the registration form. Every effort will be made to schedule students within their requested time frame. If requested scheduling is not possible, the lesson cost will be refunded.

Covid-19 policy

Parents are responsible to check the health and wellness of their child prior to lessons; likewise, teachers will do the same for themselves.

CANCELLATION

Students must cancel with their instructor within 24 hours or will forfeit one of their 15 lessons.

If a teacher misses a lesson, the teacher will notify the student/parent and that lesson will be made up.

If a student misses a group lesson, they forfeit that lesson time.
