Nehemiah Sanders - Piano
I grew up in a large family where music was a big part of my life. From family worship sessions in the evening to singing Disney songs while cleaning, music was everywhere in my life growing up. I started taking piano lessons when I was around 10, but it wasn't until high school when I truly discovered my love for music. I had the amazing opportunity to play piano for the student band at my church where I learned the beauty of different instruments coming together to make one whole sound. In college I've kept my love of music by leading worship for events at my church and being a worship leader for Camp Marannook. Music has always been an outlet for me and I love getting to help others experience the joy and peace that comes from playing and understanding music.
I am in my Junior year at The University of Alabama at Birmingham where I am studying Computer Science. Playing music by ear, I tend to feel music more than I actually play it. I am passionate about equipping the next generation of students to not only be skilled in piano playing, but also to be able to feel and fall in love with music. Music is a God-given gift and I believe it should be shared with as many people as possible!
